Senior Financial Analyst

Position Summary:
Cypress Communications is a growing telecommunications company that is actively seeking a candidate to fill a full-time position as a Senior Financial Analyst. The senior financial analyst is involved with the monthly close and consolidation process of all business unites of the company as well as financial analysis and reporting activities to support short-term and long-range strategic plans and operating budgets. The senior financial analyst will perform monthly journal entry preparation, review and account reconciliations. The senior financial analyst will assist in reviewing results and preparing detailed analysis of results to provide assurance of accuracy. Additionally, the senior financial analyst will work on ad hoc projects and reports as needed to help analyze results and streamline processes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of and review of actual results, monthly forecasts and annual budgets
- Prepare and publish monthly and quarerly reporting packages to execcutive management summarizing key trends and relevant analysis and conduct comparables analysis as necessary in support of key business metrics and objectives
- Build analytical models that utuize both fianacial and non-financial data to forecast operating results
- Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements
Knowledge and Skills:
- 4-year degree required in fiance or accounting
- CPA preferred
- 2-4 years prior work experience in accounting required, public accounting preferred
- Strong PC skills, especially advanced excel skills
- Strong work ethic and problem solving skills
- Advance knowledge of US GAAP and month end close processes and procedures
- Ability to mulittask and work under tight deadlines
Performance Metrics:
- Schedule and complete customer training successfully to insure all users understand the product features and services
- Exceed customer service expectation of customers for installation and training measured by customer service satisfaction survey results.
