Welcome to the Cypress eNewsletter!
Welcome to the first issue of the Cypress Communications quarterly newsletter featuring ideas and tips on how you can leverage communications—and specifically, cloud–based communications—to improve organizational performance. Articles in each issue will focus on industry trends and highlight ways that your peers are leveraging hosted unified communications to benefit their businesses.
While these have been challenging times for many, they have also presented an opportunity to redefine possibility and to perform beyond our expectations. Collectively, we‘ve seen new possibilities as Captain Sulley safely landed his crippled plane on the Hudson River and watched as our Olympic athletes set new records for speed and endurance, being rewarded for their performance with medals of gold, silver or bronze. Satisfaction of a job well done is a sweet reward within itself, but others judging your achievements to be superior provides a testimony and validity that is hard to obtain any other way.
As for Cypress, we recently took a few moments to relish our own accomplishments when the company and its solutions were featured in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS). Although there were no gold medals, it was definitely rewarding for industry experts to recognize our vision, as well as our commitment to progressive technology and customer service. Gartner reports that enterprises have redefined the possibilities in regards to communications. Once thought to be viable for only the small or mid-sized business, UCaaS has become the new communications paradigm, and Cypress has been there from the beginning. A growing number of larger enterprises are turning to UCaaS because of the belief that UCaaS specialists, like Cypress, can deliver the services more efficiently than an enterprise can on its own, especially given the costs and complexity of the technology.
While UCaaS may be a new idea for some of you, at Cypress, we‘ve been passionate about providing hosted and managed solutions for over 25 years. We‘ve been recognized for our innovation and service, garnering more than 24 awards, but we also have a strong legacy of stability, technical expertise and service to our customers. In this issue, we‘d like to share our experience and expertise with you, helping you to better understand the recent Nortel announcements and prepare for business communications continuity as we approach the 2010 hurricane season. We‘ll also share a success story on how one of our customers is realizing gains from unified communications, as well as some tips designed to make it easier for you to communicate and collaborate every day.
I hope that you find the following articles relevant and educational, and that this inaugural newsletter can help you, in some small way, to redefine your own set of possibilities.
Yours truly,
Linda Collins
